Key facts

  • Named as the Responsible Official on the YGI air-permit application, listed with a Bloom Energy email address.[1]
  • Signed the Section 22 certification at page 648 of the 648-page application.[1]
  • 2026-08-03New Energy Economy argued from this that “This is not simply an application submitted by Yucca Growth Infrastructure, LLC.”[1]
  • 2026-08-07Another intervenor responded that these facts may establish Bloom's operational or representative role but do not by themselves make Bloom the applicant; the applicant of record is Yucca Growth Infrastructure.[2]

The record

Vice President of Environmental and Regulatory Law at Bloom Energy. She is the Responsible Official named on Yucca Growth Infrastructure's air permit application, listed with a Bloom Energy email address, and she signed the Section 22 certification at page 648 of the 648-page application.

New Energy Economy's point in surfacing this: "This is not simply an application submitted by Yucca Growth Infrastructure, LLC" — the application was executed and certified by a Bloom officer on behalf of Bloom's own fuel cells, so questions directed to Bloom "go directly to the evidentiary basis upon which the Department is being asked to issue this permit."

Another intervenor put the limit on it: those facts may establish Bloom's operational or representative role, but do not by themselves make Bloom the applicant. The applicant of record is Yucca Growth Infrastructure.

The hearing has passed
The Watch stands.

The decision was due July 21. Instead: a public hearing — first set for October, then moved up to September 14 at the applicant’s request — and a ruling due by November 23. A $165B question for one desert county, on a schedule that keeps moving. The clock above always shows the next date that matters. Until the ruling, and after, this is the public watch on how it’s being made.
