The Candle

Investigative online outlet (Bruce Wetherbee, editor) focused on NM state government; broke the Apaluma contract mechanics, the promo-video takedown, and the SIC exposure — its editor is also a pro se intervenor in the air-permit hearing.
verification: confirmed

The small outlet doing the document work: internal NMED emails, contract amendments, the vanished promo video, the state investment fund's exposure. Its editor didn't stop at reporting — he intervened in the permit hearing itself.

The hearing has passed
The Watch stands.

The decision was due July 21. Instead: a public hearing on October 19 in Sunland Park, and a ruling now due by November 23. A $165B question for one desert county — and the clock above always shows the next date that matters. Until the ruling, and after, this is the public watch on how it’s being made.
